Ludo has different names in different regions, like Pachisi, Parchís, Fia, Fia-spel (Fia the game), Eile mit Weile, Vuelta obligada, Cờ cá ngựa, Uckers, Parqués, Le Jeu de Dada (The Game of Dada), Fia med knuff (Fia with push), Griniaris, Kızma Birader, Brändi Dog, Coppit, Parcheesi, Petits Chevaux (Little Horses), etc. People also misspell Ludo as Ludu, Luddu, Luddo, Loodo, Chakka, Lado, Lodo, etc.
